One with Nature

Walking on lush green path,
My bare feet feels alive,
The beautiful sky turns amber,
Making the world brighter..
The birds flocking together,
Getting back to their homes,
Show the value of togetherness..
The winds swaying the leaves,
The way they wish,
Shows the uncertainty of life..
There's no better teacher,
Than nature in itself..
The importance one gives to oneself,
Is just an act of felony,
Drowns into the vastness,
And completeness of world..
A soul feels calm,
By losing the importance of self
By being just another life,
Gifted by nature..
Being grateful for just being alive..
Not thinking the world of oneself,
Instead, blending to become one with nature.

Simple pleasures.. :)

As the day ends
I look at the world around me
I see everyone so busy
So much of hustle bustle
I wonder,
Where are we all heading?
So many dreams
Endless aspirations
Each one working hard
To make their dreams come true
Some, revelling in their little success
Some, praying to succeed
In this mad race,
There are some pleasures everyone yearns for
To smile,
To exchange few laughs with friends,
To love and care for your family
To enjoy going to work
To be happy and be loved
And there is always that special day
When you realise that,
All that truly matters is,
Simple pleasures of life..

On my second trip to Israel..

After logging off, I went down to take taxi and I asked the receptionist and she asked me to wait for five minutes for the taxi to come. I sat down on the sofa in the reception. There was another guy there waiting. He looked like an African.. He was shorter than the average Africans and not too dark as well. His complexion was wheatish (brownish).. I guessed he must be a African Jew. And below is the conversation. A is African and Me is me.. ;-).. Anyways the conversation follows:

A: “efhznxcnsdfjdsofisodso”

Me: “Sorry”

A: “ifjxcndkfmdlfkdfkdlkf”

Me: “Sorry”

A: “oh.. u don’t speak Hebrew?”

Me: “No.. I don’t”

A: “Oh okay.. I am sorry.. How are you?”

Me: “I am doing good. Thank you. How are you?”

A: “Doing good too. You are waiting?”

Me: “Yes.. I am waiting for the taxi”

A: “oh.. I am also waiting for my driver. You work here?”

M: “Actually I am from India, I am here for a training. So would go back to my country after the training”

A: “Oh.. that’s nice..”

(Pause)
A: “So for how long have you been here?”

Me: “Today is my first day in this office”

A: “Ohh.. good.. For how long are you here?”

Me: “For 10 days (looking at the door for my taxi)”

A: “Is it your first time in Israel?”

Me: “No.. This is my second trip to Israel.”

A: “Oh.. Looks like you really like the Jews.

Me: Smile
A: “I have many friends in India.”
Me: “Oh that’s nice to know. I hear many Israeli travel to India as well. I have heard it from many people here."

A: “Yes.. Many of them travel.. I keep traveling as well. I have been to Germany, Sweden and Africa. Its very cold in Sweden.”

Me: “Oh that’s nice.. I have heard Germany is a very nice place. The only place I have traveled outside India is Israel”

A: “Yes it is.” and then looks at me and says, “Many girls are very shy with strangers but you speak well. I would like to see more of you. Its nice speaking to you.”

Me: Welll… Manged to smile and say ‘same here’ purely out of courtesy and added “I cannot be like that as I am a trainer and I need to mingle with strangers often so very used to it now.”

A: “That’s really good. You should mingle with people.. Talk to them, you never know where you meet them next”

(Pause)

A: “I have many friends in India and everyone says its nice, so it must be a nice place”

Me: “Yes.. Its really a nice place. Maybe you should visit sometime as well”

A: “Ya… I will. But you should invite me”

Me: “I am inviting you now. Everyone is welcome to my country. We have people from different parts of the world coming and even you are welcome.” (Now desperately looking at the door coz I knew where the conversation was heading)

A: “All are welcome, that means you don’t have any demarcation”

Me: “Ofcourse not, there absolutely no demarcation of any sorts. You should come sometime and you will see for yourself.”

A: “You should invite me”

Me: “I am inviting you as of now. Please come to visit my country”

A: Gives a sidy smile like as if to give some sign “Not that way. I need a special invite so that I can tell the embassy that I have come to meet someone. Would you do that for me?” again a sidy smile

Me: ok.. din’t see this coming so soon.. Anyways completely ignoring those signs managed to stutter , “All are welcome to our country and you will not be asked too many questions. You can just say you are a tourist”

A: “You do not understand. I want a special invite.”

Me: Holding my back tight, so that I can run the minute I see my taxi. “Do you want it printed?”

A: Laughs and says, “Oh ya.. that would help. Then I can show proof that I am invited and they wouldn’t ask me too many questions”

Me: Managed a fake smile and said, “I don’t think so. If you show them that, then they would ask more questions like why do you want to see them? and etc etc”

A: Laughs again “Yes.. true… Its really nice speaking to you. I would like to see more of you”

Me: “Ya.. you will see me in this office for another 10 days.”

A: “Ya.. but maybe I am busy with my work and cannot meet you. So where can I meet you?”

Me: Now cursing the receptionist and the taxi driver said, “You will see me running up and down in this office for another 10 days”

And then finally the miracle happened, the taxi arrived.. I really din’t know I could be so happy looking at a taxi..Trust me.. I am always prepared when guys flirt, but this was really unexpected. By this I conclude, ALL MEN ARE SAME.. It doesn’t matter if they are Indian, African or from Timbaktoo..

Rab ne bana di jodi..

Finally... Its confirmed that a new comer is much better than Shah Rukh Khan! I always knew this but first time SRK has managed to make such a big fool of himself.. He does it everytime.. But this is the movie where he has done the worst acting.. Why? Coz he tried to act like the character and then that proved that he can't act for nuts! All what he can do in all the movies is "be himself" in each and every movie and that is termed as acting.. Its high time that somebody has to explain the meaning of the term "acting" to him..

The story: Don't ask.. I thought Om Shanti Om was the stupidest movie ever made.. And I had thought this movie will beat it and actually it would have, if Anushka Sharma had acted bad.. But she turned out to be really good and if you ever watch the movie it has to be for her..
SRK making wierd faces & gestures.. Anushka Sharma acting very well..

Why I watched it? : Good question.. To see how bad can SRK get!

My first supposed to be "poem"

Life is a roller coaster
Surprises you every time
You think happiness is here
And lo and behold, that was just a fallacy
You wait for the release……….

It’s the day of release
It’s a happy ending after all
You think the moment is here to stay
Again it fools you!

You try and introspect
What did go wrong?
And you realize only one thing
Life is a roller coaster

And then suddenly,
when your mind is calm
and is in acceptance stage,
there comes the answer..
To think of it..
It was always there..
in your mind!

So smile, follow your heart
The path will be shown
to those who seek..
Seek within you..
In you, lies all the answers..

My daily bus ride..

These days my daily bus ride is giving me a lot of insight on many things.. The journey is long and you get to overhear conversations if you want or not. You get to see some faces cringe and someone pushes them, you see college girls giggling and talking about their college mates and about some guy in the bus who is continuously staring at them. You get pushed by some man and I turn to give a stare and my most repeated sentence in Kannda these days seems to be "swalpa hinde hogi" ("plz go a little back").. Well.. these are the everyday issues

Today as I got into the bus (which unfortunately had all the seats occupied), I looked arround to find out who might get down. My friend and me do this everyday. Somehow, as you travel everyday, you become more or less like an astrologer always trying to predict if the college girls will get down at the stop of the nearing college or the next and who might get down in the last stop etc etc.. Anyways my hopes were not bright of getting a seat today as it was comparitively crowded. The lady sitting in a seat near me had "FOUR" kids with her. And then I observed that the elder ones were girls and the youngest a boy. That's when my friend and me started discussing. This happens even today doesn't it? The craze for a boy child is still very much alive. Afterall who would want a girl child? There are so many expenditures associated with a girl child. The main additional thing being the "dowry" and the "jewellery" and etc etc...

Everyone knows the solution.. What would happen if every girl's parent's started to say NO to every guy who asked for dowry? When there is no one who would give dowry obviously that guy is not going to stay single all his life waiting for dowry.. What if every parent in this world treated thier boy and girl child without any difference? What if every woman started to fight for her right? (instead of just letting all others arround her decide that its not a good idea).. We all know the solutions, but we have very few trying to make the change...
